Passion Story of the Month|January 2018

Happy Sunday lovelies and welcome to my first Passion Story of 2018!! Before you get to meet January's Passion Story writer, I want to wish you guys a LATE (oops๐Ÿ™ˆ!) Happy New Years. I honestly still cannot believe 2018 is officially here. More importantly, I cannot believe this is the last Sunday of January. Gosh time flies by so quickly! I feel like it was just yesterday that January started!!

Anyways, enough blabbering from me. I'm super excited to share with you January's Passion Story of the Month: Courtney Cranford๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽŠ. We met last semester in our wallyball class and we quickly became friends over discovering our hidden competitive nature that was brought out by playing wallyball. And the cool thing is we still get together with some of our friends and treat ourselves to Chick-fil-a milkshakes after playing 2 hours of wallyball!
She is an entrepreneurship major with a kind personality to match her infectious laugh and I'm excited to share with you guys her Passion Story!

So without further ado...

ice breaker:

fave color: Pink!!

fave holiday: Valentine's Day๐Ÿ’•

If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what meal would that be?
A: Pepperoni Pizza๐Ÿ•

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Paris, France

Team Pancakes or Team Waffles?
A: Most definitely waffles

Okay, now for the heavy hitters:

Q: What is your passion(s) and how did you discover it/them?
A: My passions are writing and cooking. I discovered them at a small age because I always got in the kitchen with my parents and I have a crazy imagination that I express through stories and food. As a kid, I would always try to act out the story line of TV shows and literally play hours of pretend with my dolls and stuffed animals. I would be in the kitchen trying to figure out what I could make with a jar of mayonnaise, Hidden Valley ranch, and shredded cheddar cheese that eventually turned into an awful dip. (True story ;) ) I found that cooking and writing was an escape from this crazy world and I can enjoy what I love anytime of the year.

Q: How did you go about developing your passion(s)/becoming more skilled in it/them?
A: I practiced and learned what I know tastes good as far as cooking from trial and error, blogs,YouTube, and advice from my parents. For writing, I know what I am comfortable talking/writing about from having family and friends give me feedback because it was easy to tell if a situation in my story was uncomfortable when they had trouble reading and getting the point. I also enjoy reading all types of fiction writing and cookbooks in my spare time because it helped me broaden my vocabulary and store some simple cooking tricks to show off in the kitchen (and I just love looking at the pictures).

Q: Do you plan to include your passion(s) into your future career?
A: I most definitely plan to include my passions in my career because I hope to make more jobs and inspire people to get creative in writing and impress others with their culinary skills.

Q: What advice do you have for someone who finds your story/passion(s) inspiring?A: Go with your gut and let your imagination run wild for a weekend. Think of an awesome Netflix show you would want to write or having a YouTube channel that shows your simple hacks to tackle making a crazy meal. Both of those ideas show off your imagination which is unique and specially tailored to your mind so, why not use it? Whether it is spicing up microwavable popcorn or a poem about what you see right outside of your window, you can be as creative as you want and no one is holding you back but you.

If you want to make an impact in your community, country, or the world, then there is no better time then the present.

Q: How would you define "staying classy"?
A: I define "staying classy" as staying true to yourself. You know what you love and hate so, why try to change yourself for what another loves or hates? If you stay true to yourself, no one can shoot down your internal happiness.
