Passion Story of the Month|February 2018

Happy Sunday lovelies!! Can you believe February is almost over!?!? It felt like yesterday we were just welcoming 2018 and now we are almost two months into the new year! I'm going to need time to slow down just for a little bit. Like seriously...I, as well as many of my friends, are more than half-way done with our freshman year of college!!!! Like what?!?!

Okay, enough reminiscing on the fact that time is going wayyyyy too fast. There's nothing we can do about it besides make the most of out each day.

So today I am happy to share with you guys February's Passion Story: Martia (Tia) Shaw! We went to the same high school and although we never had a class together, I could tell by her instagram and snapchat posts that she has an incredible eye for photography, which you will learn more about in her Passion Story😉

So without further ado...

ice breaker:

fave color: black

fave holiday: Christmas🎄

If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what meal would that be?
A: Pizza. 🍕

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: London, England

Team Pancakes or Team Waffles?
A: of course, pancakes.🥞

Okay, now for the heavy-hitters:
Q: What is your passion(s) and how did you discover it/them?
A: My passions are music and photography. I discovered them during a rough time;I truly needed something to pull me away from everything, you know--thing(s) that put me into my own world and away from this one.

Q: How did you go about developing your passion(s) /becoming more skilled in it/them?
A: With music, I grew up in a musically talented family so I kinda was skilled in it from the jump, but as I continued growing, I continued learning more, especially on the technology side and writing side of music. I also was in audio production all four years of high school which really helped me a lot, and with those helpful experiences, I am honestly skilled in music.
Now with photography, I was so intrigued with my two friends in Nashville who are photographers and who are actually one of my favorite photographers. The way they did things and the way they created just inspired me and they wanted me to do it also. So I went under their wings, learned a lot about photography, what programs to use, how to truly use a camera, etc. Now, I am no longer under their wings and I am skilled enough to go out and do what I do, you know. I’ve grown into somebody with the potential to do damage with the camera.

Q: Do you plan to include your passion(s) into your future career?
A: Yes and no lol. Those two are plan A. Praying I can succeed with those or one of those. But if not, I’ll be a great attorney lol.

Q: What advice do you have for someone who finds your story or passion(s) inspiring?
A: Do what you love and love what you do. Seriously. And also, don’t ever give up. Remain patient, stay patient and just continue to do your part. People who put good energy into the world will get it back. You will get there.

Q: How would you define "staying classy"?
A: “Staying classy” to me means staying cool and sophisticated.
